Huper Optik

The time was 1998 and economist were forecasting an electricity energy crisis in early 2000. This revolution caused Huper Optik to conduct a search for energy saving products. As a result they found that one of the best values for the money was window film.

In order to pursue this product they surveyed the general public and people who had used and sold window films. Their survey concluded that the general public knew very little of the benefits of window film. They found that many dealers dealt with concerns of reflectivity from the customer and the product was sold to anyone as a commodity. In Response to these concerns they launched Huper Optik USA in January of 2000. They introduce window film with low reflectivity and high heat reduction as an answer to the need of market demand.

We are at long last happy to see the green movement come about and bring with it the awareness of the need to conserve. Energy Star has recognized window film for years as an energy efficient product for use on homes and buildings. Although our main product is the application of the most elite window film on the market we are focusing on our environment by educating our clients about energy conservation through affiliates and resources we have made available to them. Ottico Energy Solutions is doing what it can to not only conserve energy for other people, but to make a difference for the environment in our day to day operations. We have made our own list of things we do that will help conserve.

CFL's

Compact Fluorescent Lamps(CFL's) are becoming mainstream in the U.S and all over the World. CFL's have grown in popularity because they use less energy and give the same light output as an incandescent light bulb. CFL's come in various shapes and sizes and are getting smaller and smaller so they fit in almost any application. CFL's not only save you energy but they last 10 x longer than a standard incandescent. CFL's use about 75% less energy and produce about 75% less heat. The heat that is produced when the lights are on adds to our carbon footprint.

Did you know that 90% of the energy used by a standard light bulb is given off as heat. Incandescent light bulbs are very inefficient and use more energy to produce heat than light. If we can reduce our wattage in the socket we will reduce the heat output, our power consumption and our carbon footprint. And since most of the power in the U.S. is produced by coal burning power plants a reduction in the need for energy will lessen mercury emissions and greenhouse gases significantly.
